Sleeping-car CIWL No. 3540 A, type Lx. This car is stored south of the
wagon hall in the freight station of Freiburg (Breisgau). The windows
are missing, but most of the interior still exists. According to the
inscriptions on one end, end, this car has last been revised in 1977 in
Spain. In 1981 it was stored in Irún, together with many other
cars. In 1982 it was bought by the Intraflug. When the reisebüro
mittelthurgau took over the Nostalgie-Istanbul-Orient-Express, it went
to the Rubitec company. In 1997 it was sold to the French society ATTFL,
which stored it in Les Ifs for a planned museum. Photo taken April 1996.
