After elimination of the EMU's type 35, there was an excess of the central coaches. coaches 212.206 (UIC 60 88 80 69 031-8) and 212.208 (UIC 60 88 80 69 032-6) were rebuild to the current medical unit, used for regular checkup of the NMBS personel. Due to the geographical location of many railroad constructions, it was confortable to use a train to serve all places easily. In 1972-73, this unit was delivered by the CW Mechelen, and started official service on july 18, 1973. The picture shows the unit in Kinkempois depot. May 11, 1996.
