5503 takes over a single flatcar from 185-CL 005 of Hoyer Railserv which brought it to Aachen West on 14 January 2002. On longer trains the electric loco often stays at the new rear end to push the train up to the tunnel at Gemmenich. For a single car this is not neccessary, so 185-CL 005 rested here when 5503 left towards Montzen later. Digital photo by Christoph Schmitz

SNCB - Deux locomotives série 55 (dont la .5509) garées devant les ateliers de Schaerbeek. Le point placé avant le numéro de la loco indique que le système de chauffage à vapeur d'origine a été déposé. Il est aussi à noter que la ligne rouge cerclant la caisse de la loco indique que celle-ci est équipée du système de sécurité TVM 430 qui a cours sur la ligne TGV Bruxelles ­ forntière française. (Schaerbeek, 04/11/2000) SNCB - Two Class 55 (from which the .5509) are parked in front of the workshops at Schaerbeek. The point, which is placed before the number, indicates that the original steam heating system was removed. It should be observed that the red line which ring all the loco body indicates that this one is equiped with the TVM 430 security system which is in use on the high speed line from Brussels to the French border.
