Until 2003 this line continued to the Erasmus hospital, but a new underground line has replaced the last part of the tram line. Line 56 now has a temporary terminus in this street; an extension to a permanent terminus in the Marius Renardlaan/Rue Marius Renard is now scheduled to be opened in 2006.
