The first main line diesel locos of BDZ were built beween 1962 an 1965 by SGP Vienna (Austria) in two batches. This loco has two engines and diesel-hydraulic transmission. They are equiped with a steam boiler for train heating. The remaining locos are based at Sofia and mainly used between Sofia and Kalotina on international passenger trains to and from Yugoslavia. Loco 04.025-3 comes out of Sofia depot on 25th of april 1997 to take over the express train from Istanbul early in the morning. Photo and scan by Theo Stolz
