Desiro DMU 10-007/008 at the station of Silistra. The town of Silistra is in a very unfavourable position when it comes to rail transport. It is the terminus of a 113-kilometer-long unelectrified line which starts from Samuil and does not provide a direct connection to any of the big cities in the region. At least with the introduction of the Desiro DMUs some new railway vehicles are going to show up at Silistra every day. One Desiro services the two pairs of stopping trains between Silistra and Samuil. In the case of this photo unit 10-007/008 is ready to leave as train 91103 right after arrivng as train 91102. 31 August 2006 Photo by Miroslav Georgiev (miroslav_sg@all.bg)
