43-524 on Burgas station after arriving with fast train from Karnobat. The 5 cars are from Sofia but continue from Karnobat to Burgas under a separate train number after the front part of train departs to Varna pulled by the same locomotive that started out from Sofia.

A freight train bound for Dimitrovgrad has just entered Zimnitsa and in the next instant another freight train exits the station in the opposite direction. It is hauled by locomotive 43 524.8 from the depot of Stara Zagora and consists predominantly of LukOil tank cars which are going back to the oil refinery in Burgas. 27 July 2005

At sunset on 26 July 2006 locomotive 43 524 comes out of the depot in Yambol in order to be coupled to a local freight train to Stara Zagora.

On 26 July 2006 locomotive 43 524 was on duty in Yambol, after arriving with a freight train from Stara Zagora in the early morning. During the day, the machine hauled a pair of local freight trains between Yambol and Karnobat. On the photo the locomotive is seen at the end of the day ready to leave Yambol with a freight train back to Stara Zagora. Business as usual then for this hard worker.
