Locomotive 44-099-0 of BDZ in Sofia's central railway station with a fast train from Sofia to Varna that also has direct cars for Burgas. This locomotive from the depot in Plovdiv does the whole trip to Varna. At Karnobat the cars for Burgas are detached from the back of the train and another machine hauls them to Burgas. As well as the passenger cars to both cities, the train includes a mail/baggage car, a restaurant car and a PCB car. The photo is from 8 April 2004.
