VOLUYAK: This is the western freight port of Sofia where trains from different directions stop and change locomotives. The traffic is quite intense and includes international freight trains to/from Serbia and beyond, coal freights for Pernik and Bobov Dol, scrap metal freights for Pernik and Kremikovtsi, and other ocassional trains as well as passenger services from Sofia to Dragoman, Pernik and Bankya. On the photo locomotive 44 101 is ready to leave for Dragoman with an international freight train. 20 March 2007
