Locomotive 44 125.3 (home depot Gorna Oryahovitsa) has brought the express train "Zlatni pyasatsi" (Sofia - Varna) to the railway station in Varna. If you look closely, you will see another locomotive (a class 55 diesel shunter) at the end of the train. Since the railroad terminates at Varna, the cars have to be pulled away so that the electric locomotive can move to its next duty or to the depot. 20 August 2004

44 125.3 takes a deserved rest after having hauled the "Zlatni pyasatsi" express train. The course from Sofia to Varna through Gorna Oryahovitsa is a lengthy one and yet the locomotive has managed it exceptionally well, arriving in Varna right on schedule. Full marks for its great looks as well - good paint job with the BDZ logo outlined at the front. 20 August 2004

Just about 20 minutes after it brought the express train from Sofia to Varna, 44 125.3 is on the move again and not into the depot, but towards another train - the fast train from Varna to Pleven whose cars are already waiting on platform 1. 20 August 2004

From express train duties to fast train ones - 44 125.3 seen here already coupled to the fast train Varna - Pleven. This time a different train that includes a post car along a shorter route and with a less demanding schedule. In the background to the left is 44 133.7 in front of the "Rodopi" express train (Varna - Plovdiv) on platform no.2 of the railway station in Varna. Identical locomotives from different depots - 44 125.3 is from Gorna Oryahovitsa, 44 133.7 from Plovdiv. 20 August 2004
