In the afternoon of 24 August 2004 locomotive 46 243.2 arrives in Yambol with an express train Burgas-Sofia.

An unusual appearance of the Slanchev Bryag train with locomotive 46 243.2 at the front. After the disastrous floods at the beginning of August 2005 which cut the railway line between Plovdiv and Sofia, this train ran from Burgas to Plovdiv only. What's more, after the floods its blue cars did not return from Sofia to Burgas so they were substituted with these red ex-DB coaches. A good looking set-up, nevertheless. 10 August 2005

After having brought fast train 8661 from Karnobat to Burgas, locomotive 46 243.2 takes a rest at the station of Burgas, anticipating its next duty. Special thanks to the two engine drivers of 46 243 for helping me out with the set-up of this photo! 22 September 2005
