Dimitrovgrad, Bulgaria This is Dimitrovgrad, in southeastern Bulgaria. This is along the line from Istanbul Sirkeci station in Turkey, to Bucharest, Gara di Nord in Romania. From Edirne to Dimitrovgrad, the stretch on the Bulgarian side is not electrified. At Dimitrovgrad, going north, a diesel locomotive is traded for an electric locomotive until Ruse, and vice versa going south.
