Somewhere between Svilengrad and Dimitrovgrad, Bulgaria
Somewhere in eastern Bulgaria, as seen the Bosfor-Express from Istanbul Sirkeci station to Bucharest Gara de Nord station. Between Edirne, Turkey and Dimitrovgrad, Bulgaria, this train uses diesel locomotives. Only between Dimitrovgrad and Ruse (border with Romania) are electric locomotives used.
