RIC type without air-conditioning. Painted in a livery similar to the
TEN sleeping-cars.

SBB CFF FFS Bcm 61 85 50-90 101-0. This is a couchette car of a newer
type (Eurofima UIC-Z) with air-conditioning. Recently overhauled by
Siemens SGP with new doors, windows, bogies and interior. Now used in
the EuroNight "ROMA" (Basel SBB - Roma Termini) together with
FS Trenitalia sleeping-cars.

SBB CFF FFS Bcm 61 85 50-90 118-4. Eurofima type couchette car,
recently upgraded. Note that these cars have kept their boxes for
train destination boards - unlike many other railways, the SBB CFF FFS
still use such signs outside the car (though only for international
trains). With the addition of handmade paper signs inside the door
window, passengers can't go wrong ....
The previous colours for night trains (blue with purple "zebra stripes", moon and stars) have been replaced by a more subdued livery in blue and black. Basel SBB, 2005-02-15 |

SBB CFF FFS couchette car Bcm RIC, of the series 51 85 50-70 000 to 049, built
1964 to 1972. While most older seating and restaurant cars of these series are
out of service, the Bcm remain as a reserve, sometimes rented to other operators.
Here in the design of the 1980s, cobalt blue with new logo.

SBB BC 50 Couchette car in train 1389 from Zurich to Lecce on Friday September 8th.
This car is in its original livery from the 80s. The picture was taken in the station Zurich-Altstetten
during the car carrying coaches were added to the train.

1964 to 1972. Here still in the design of the 1970s, cobalt blue with older logo,
in a night train in Köln. To the left you can see a DB WLABmh 175, still with
Trans Euro Nacht inscription; the last car is a TUI FerienExpress Bcvmh with the
TUI logo already removed, soon thereafter they were sold to the NS. Today, both
SBB Bcm and TUI couchette cars can be found in holiday charter trains of the EETC.
