Canton of Uri, September 2000

An electric locomotive is pulling an InterCity train to Milan, and is heading to the St. Gotthard Tunnel, from the beginning of the incline from Erstfeld to Göschenen and through the tunnel to Airolo on the Ticino side. Currently this train is between Erstfeld and Göschenen in the canton of Uri. The next stop is in Bellinzona, the cantonal capital of Ticino. Taken 14 September 2000.
