RABe520 064-3 arriving in Luzern, Switzerland
This is a RABe520 EMU arriving in Luzern SBB station. From the marking, it looks like this is 520 064-3 although it could have been misread. This train will go to Hochdorf as an S-9. Taken 6 August 2004. © 2004, 2006 Josh Hanz (josh_hanz@hotmail.com) |

SBB - Switzerland The trainsets especially built for the narrow profile Seetal line look more like a GTW than a Flirt trainset. Both types are built by Stadler. RABe 520 000 is seen in the main station of Lenzburg. Lenzburg, 05-08-2011 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |

SBB - Switzerland The first FLIRT class for SBB was especially built for the narrow profile Seetal line Luzern-Lenzburg. RABe520 003 plus an unidentified second are seen in Lenzburg on the tracks in front of the station. There are plans to connect the Seetal line to the "normal" tracks of the Lenzburg station such that this "station" can be abandoned. Lenzburg, 18-11-2005

SBB's newest type of EMU (built by Stadler) in Beinwil, on the Seetalbahn. This railway
runs in the shoulders of a road for much of it's route. That's why these
EMU's are not as wide as regular trains. Besides that, they follow the standards of all new
"light train" equipment in Europe: fantastic design, not-so-fantastic comfort. The stations
along the Seetalbahn are being rebuilt following the same standards. 6 March 2003.
