The new universal solution for light shunting and industrial sidings. 1500 kW
(electric) or 290 kW (diesel), this is sufficient as most non-electrified
industrial spurs in Switzerland are low-speed and have no significant
gradients. The top speed is 100 km/h, which is the regular speed of most
freight trains. The starting tractive effort is 150 kN. 30 locomotives are
being produced by Stadler for 88 million CHF total, the first is in service
since march 2012.
