• Foreground: stairs to Platform 3, where Track 5 accommodates RER traffic to/from La Plaine and Bellegarde (France). As this area is unrestricted (owing to Swiss internal traffic), Immigration and Customs checks are carried out on board, on a random basis;
• Background: "France" panel, which indicates entry to the French sector (Platform 4, Tracks 7-8), for all non-RER traffic to/from France. This area is restricted and cordouned off in the same style as Eurostar Terminals, with routine ground checks.
