• Left: dual track (15kV 16.7Hz AC), for traffic to/from the Airport;
• Right: single track for Geneva/La Praille-France traffic.
At this stage, this single track emerges out of the Châtelaine tunnel (chord of La Praille-Ouest), which was built in 1956 so that French freighters could easily reach the Freight station of La Praille.
Until 1986, the dual track would accommodate Geneva-France traffic (with 1.5kV DC French catenary), while the Châtelaine tunnel would only lead to La Praille.
