Eigerwand station is located inside the famous northern face of the Eiger mountain. Trains running up to Jungfraujoch stop here for five minutes, during which you can get off the train and enjoy the view through some windows. 14.10.2007 Martin P. |

The north wall of the Eiger seen in the dawn of 18 March 2002. The station
Eigerwand of the Jungfraubahn at 2865.7 m above sea level is hard to see at
daylight, but in the evening it's light makes it visible. The picture was taken
from Grindelwald, the catenary in the upper right corner belongs to the line
Grindelwald-Grund of the Wengernalpbahn.
