RhB warm-air transportation car - no, sorry, Glacier-Express car 2nd class. Of three second-class panorama cars, two were completely empty between St. Moritz and Reichenau-Tamins. However it may be that they are more occupied between Chur and Zermatt. For a passenger who wants to get to the destination, the routing via Chur and back to Reichenau makes not much sense. It prevents the splitting and joining of Glacier consists though, and passengers of booked group who want to experience the "world's slowest express train" won't mind the extra hour. The train is pulled by the Ge 4/4 III 646 "BüGA". Albula line, 2008-02-15.
RhB combined RegioExpress and Glacier-Express going over the famous Landwasser viaduct, tightly curved, high-up and going directly into a steep rock face. Guess where our group was sitting? Of course in the car with all the open windows; to take this photo I walked up to the first car. 2008-02-15.
RhB combined RegioExpress and Glacier-Express from St. Moritz, departing from the stop at Reichenau-Tamins towards Chur, the last 6 cars (Gex) will return here after some time and continue via mgb to Zermatt. 2008-02-15.
