| RhB As 1144, built 1931 by SIG for CIWL as AB4ü 106 and used in 1931 on the Golden Mountain Pullman Express (Montreux - Zweisimmen) which became a commercial failure. Sold to RhB in 1939, painted ivory/green and renumbered to 244, in 1959 renumbered again to 1244 and in 1965 to 1144. From 1974 it carried a livery in ivory/red. The last refurbishment was in 1999 with a repaint to a livery similar to what they looked like when built. Used as first class car in the regular nostalgic train between Filisur and Davos. | RhB As 1161, built 1929 as A4üSalon 61 and used in the 1930s in the Glacier Express, then newly introduced. From 1973 it was used as a measuring car, in 1985 it received a new interior with armchairs and tables in nostalgic style, in 2001 it was repainted for "Alpine Classic Pullman Express". Here it is used as an extension to the "Stiva Retica" restaurant. St. Moritz, 2019-10-03. |
| RhB As 1142 + As 1141 + WR-S 3814. The As 1142 and 1141 were built 1931 by SIG for the short-lived CIWL/MOB Golden Mountain Pullman Express. 1939 sold to RhB. The WR-S 3814 is a dining salon car without kitchen, originally built 1929 by SWS for the Bernina line. Sorry, in this situation no better photo was possible. Pontresina, 2009-02-14. |

RhB Alpine Classic Pullman Express car As 1142 in Landquart.
This is one of the cars originally built in the 1920s for the
Golden Mountain Pullman Express of the CIWL/MOB. These cars
have large panoramic windows and a very comfortable interior,
however the Golden Mountain Pullman Express was not too
successful, and the cars were soon sold to the RhB. Today
again they are painted in a cream/blue livery similar to their
first appearance.

RhB first class passenger compartment/salon car As 1154. Built
1930 by SIG Neuhausen, originally used in the Engadin Express
between Chur and St. Moritz. In 1986 the car was restored, it
is the only side-corridor coach preserved on the RhB.
