The station of Disentis is where the Rhätische Bahn from the east
and the matterhorn gotthard bahn (ex Furka-Oberalp-Bahn) from the west
meet. Photo looking east (from the mgb/FO side to the RhB side).
This station has recently been rebuilt with more tracks and a new
platform roof.

A look to the west in Disentis. Left you can see the RhB Ge 4/4 I 603,
right the mgb HGe 4/4 II 101. The track disappears in a tunnel and soon
goes steeply uphill to Sedrun (with cogwheel sections).
