In 2004 RM modernised its passenger fleet by buying several type GTW2/6 and GTW2/8 electric trainsets from Stadler. RABe526 261 is of type GTW2/6, with two driving trailers on either end of the "power pack".

Regionalverkehr Mittelland new passenger trainset RABe526 262 has reached its end station Langnau. After providing a connection from the BLS express train from Luzern to Bern it will also run to Bern, but over the RM lines through Ramsei, Hasle-Rüegsau and Burgdorf.

Trainset RABe527 280 (of type GTW2/8, with additional middle coach), stands in the station of Solothurn. These large trainsets are mainly used on the RM line Solothurn-Moutier.

Waiting for the train to Zürich at Solothurn on April 3, 2004, I was lucky to have a small digital camera ready to hand when the interesting train shown here passed through (same direction). I think it was composed of: RM GTW 2/6, SBB D, two Thurbo GTW 2/6, another SBB D, another two Thurbo GTW 2/6, another SBB D, and at the end an RM GTW 2/6 again!
