Czech Republic / Czech Railways
E 499.005 on exhibition in Masarykovo's rail.station, Prague, 1995 100 engines of class E499.0 (now 140) were built by Skoda Plzen for former Czechoslovak state railways in mid of 50's. Although regular service of these beautiful locos was stopped, on certain places, these engines are still ready as reserve, and can be rarely seen on rails. Locomotive 140 061-3 was taken sidetracked in DKV (depot) Olomouc on 15/9/2001. I have
some information, that this unit should by got rid of.

Historical 3kV DC locomotive E 499.004 (form 1953!) was taken in station Hradec Kralove
on 15/5/2001 hl.n. This unit was going in special train from Ostrava to Decin hl.n.
It was on occasion of the 150th anniversary of railway from Prague to Dresden.
