The tender locomotive of the type XIVe No.4 of track gauge 800 mm was made by the locomotive factory Krauss & Co. in Munich in 1884 with the serial number 1576. New boiler with the number 1616 was supplied in 1924 by the engineering joint-stock company, former Breitfeld, Danek i spol. in Slany. The locomotive was first used on the factory railway of Vojtesska Metallurgical Plant of the Prague Iron Works, later Steel Works Kladno. In 1981 to 1985 it was renovated and was exhibited at the EXPO'86 in Vancouver. Technical specification: axle arrangement B, duplex steam engine with external flat slide valves on cylinders and external valve gear Stephenson, hand lever brake with double-side braking of the second driving wheel set.

Kladno1_NTM.jpg (131625 bytes)

Národní technické muzeum, Praha, 2001-05-06

A half-tender steam locomotive KLADNO was manufactured by the engineering works of Vienna-Raab railway in 1855 under the serial number 295. It was supplied to the company of Bustehradska railway (BEB/BD) and included into the category I under the number 103. The locomotive was used mainly for transport of coal on the basic railway of the company from Kladno to Kralupy nad Vltavou since beginning of traffic in 1856. Technical specification: axle arrangement C2', duplex steam engine with external flat slide valves on cylinders and valve gear Gooch, third wheel set driven, hand screw brake on both tender axles. Very interesting is particularly the design of travel according to the system of Wilhelm Engerth in which the tender bears a part of the locomotive boiler weight. Three similar half-tender locomotives have only been preserved all round the world, KLADNO being the oldest of them.

M124_001_NTM.jpg (65847 bytes)

Národní technické muzeum, Praha, 2001-05-06

Four-wheel steam carriage M124.001 with vertical boiler of the Viennese firm Komarek was manufactured in 1903 in the Ringhoffer wagon factory at Prague-Smichov with the serial number 65168. The carriage of the original designation 1.001 of the Austrian State Railways (kkStB) was supplied for the local railway Ceska Kamenice - Kamenicky Senov - Ceska Lipa where, however, it did not prove well because of its low power output. Therefore, it was fitted with a higher output boiler in 1905 and was transferred to the local railway Louny - Libochovice. The Czechoslovak Railways transferred it to Dobruska in 1926 where it was put out of service in 1947 and included into collections of the National Technical Museum. Technical specification: axle arrangement A1, two-cylinder compound steam engine with flat slide valves and modified valve gear Joy, suction service brake and hand-operated backup brake.
