EC 173 "Vindobona" leaves Dresden Hbf (on the way from Hamburg to Wien). Behind the locomotive (class 101), it has a 1st class compartment car Avmz¹¹¹, a 1st class open car Apmz¹²³ and a dining car WRmz¹³³, all in the latest ICE colours. The Apmz¹²³, which can be seen in the middle of this photo, was the last 1st class InterCity car built for the DB, derived from the 2nd class car Bpmz²⁹¹. Originally they were painted in TEE colours ivory / red, later repainted in orient red / pink / light grey and at the same version rebuilt to make them airtight, then traffic red / light grey, and now in the ICE scheme. 2001-08-23
