DB DMU 628 401, Selb Stadt DB diesel railcar 628 401 waiting at Selb Stadt for passengers travelling towards Hof. Planned departure was 14:30 as RB 34320, arrival at Hof Hbf 15:06. In 1996 Selb lost all station tracks so there is nothing more visible than unused space behind the waiting train. The secondary route from Selb to Hof is used exclusively by 628 railcars. DB DMU 628 425, Schiefe Ebene DB diesel railcar 628 425 seen on the Schiefe Ebene between Marktschorgast and Neuenmarkt-Wirsberg. Built by Duewag and put into service 23 September 1993. Photo taken in March 2002. Housed at Hof until 11 December 2011 when being resettled to Mühldorf due to agilis takeover of most of the diesel traffic in Upper Franconia. DB Class 628 Diesel Multiple Unit. Steuerwagen 928 410-0 and dieseltriebwagen 628 410-3 at Marktredwitz on Wednesday September 18th, 2002. I believe this set was working the Pegnitz shuttle service. Passengers on platform 3 are awaiting the arrival of train RE3077 (13:50 Nuremberg -Zwickau).

DB Class 628-2 Diesel Multiple Unit. 628 263-6 (mint green/white) with a Bayreuth train and 628 416-0 (verkehrsrot) with a Lichtenfels train at Neuenmarkt-Wirsberg on Thursday September 19th, 2002. The photos were taken while train RB70221 Bayreuth-Hof train reversed direction. RB70221 no longer runs from Bayreuth but starts from this station with the December 2002 timetable.
