Few minutes earlier 642 047 left in the opposite direction towards Meißen. Class 642 units are mainly used on branch lines and regional lines. They were manufactured by Siemens under the brand 'Desiro' since 1999/2000 and have a maximum speed of 120 km/h. Deutsche Bahn - 642527-6 Triebwagen 642527-6 fährt in Gotha ein. An diesem Tag wurden die Triebwagen der Baureihe 612 wegen technischer Untersuchungen nicht eingesetzt, da am Vortag bei einem Triebwagen ein Riß in einer Achse entdeckt worden war. Statt der Weiterfahrt in einem 612er mußten Fahrgäste zur Weiterfahrt auf einen Drei-Wagen-Zug der EIB (links im Bild) umsteigen. (11. August 2004)
