DB DMU 642 178, Nossen DB diesel railcar 642 178 waiting at Nossen station for departure to Leipzig as RB 26577 Meißen-Nossen-Leipzig (departure time at Nossen 11:56, arrival at Leipzig Hbf 13:36). Class 642 units are mainly used on branch lines and regional lines. They were manufactured by Siemens under the brand 'Desiro' since 1999/2000 and have a maximum speed of 120 km/h. DB diesel railcar 642 234-9 is waiting at Vejprty (Czech Republic), border station to Germany, for its departure to Chemnitz Hbf as train RB 30882 (23.06.2006).
In the background, you can see CD diesel railcar 810 601-5 which has just arrived as train Os 16808 from Zatec. The impressive station building is in big contradiction to the nowadays relatively unimportant border crossing point.
