216 221-2 from the depot Giessen is one the historic lokomotives of the DB for the future.
Today the 216 221 has a special train in the station of Mayen-East. Here is a festival,
because the track from Andernach to Gerolstein is 100 years old. In the bachground there
is VT 795 240-1.
Die Giessener 216 221-2 ist als Museumslok der DBAG vorgesehen und hat deshalb ihre alte rote Lackierung und das alte DB-Logo behalten. Hier ist 216 221 mit einem Sonderzug im Bahnhof Mayen-Ost. Aus Anlass des 100-jaehrigen Bestehens der Eifelquerbahn von Andernach nach Gerolstein ist dort ein Bahnhofsfest mit Fahrzeugausstellung und Sonderzuegen. Now 216 221 is waiting in the former depot of Koblenz-Luetzel. On the next track, there is
the historic train ET 430 114.

Hier ist 216 221 im ehemaligen Betriebswerk Koblenz-Luetzel neben dem Museumstriebwagen ET 430 114 abgestellt.
