In the second world war, many Diesel locomotives WR360C14 were built for the German Army, and production continued after the war (then it was called V36). This was the first successful type of a semi-large Diesel locomotive in Germany. It was used for shunting, freight trains and commuter trains, two locomotives could be operated from one cab. Original livery was black, the DB repainted some of them to red. Braunschweig, 10th March 1996. Photo and scan by Tobias B. Köhler (unci@tigerden.com).
