The electric locomotive 143 042-0 from the German Railways with a regional train in the main station of Koblenz. The locomotives of the BR 143 are built for the DR of the GDR. After the soft revolution in harvest 1989 they were also used on many tracks in both german republics. Today the BR 143 is used for regional trains. Eine der Elektrolokomotiven der BR 143 der DB-AG, die 143 042-0, fährt mit einem Doppelstock-RE durch den Koblenzer Hauptbahnhof. Die bei der ehemaligen Deutschen Reichsbahn der DDR als BR 243 bezeichneteten Loks wurden nach der Wende im Herbst 1989 auch in den alten Bundeslaendern eingesetzt. Heute sind die Loks der BR 143 auf vielen Strecken in ganz Deutschland zu sehen, wo sie hauptsaechlich vor Regionalzuegen im Einsatz sind.
