Farewell to Paris-Munich conventional daytime services (Ultimate day!!!):

Class 181.2 of DB-FV, seen heading the very last EC 64 ever (München Hbf ---> Paris Est), while nearing the Rhine Bridge, which marks the border between Kehl (Germany) and Strasburg (France).

At this stage, the front pantograph (15kV-16 2/3Hz AC) is still up, as the voltage change-over to 25kV-50Hz AC is located further left on the bridge, very close to the border...

Farewell to Paris-Munich conventional daytime services (Ultimate day!!!):

Class 181.2 of DB-FV, seen heading the very last EC 64 ever (München Hbf ---> Paris Est), shortly after entering the Rhine Bridge, which marks the border between Kehl (Germany) and Strasburg (France).

At this stage, this train still runs in Germany, while both the front pantograph (15kV-16 2/3Hz AC) and the rear pantograph (25kV-50Hz AC) are down, as this formation is getting very close to the voltage change-over...

At this stage, the front end of this train already runs in France, yet both the front pantograph (15kV-16 2/3Hz AC) and the rear pantograph (25kV-50Hz AC) are still down, as this locomotive is passing the voltage change-over...
