410 002-0, rear end. A special feature of the prototype ICE
that was not taken over in the series were the aerodynamic
gangways between cars, with an aerodynamic fibreglass shell
that could move along segments of a sphere, centered on the
next car with the coupling elements seen here. Inside an
airtight diaphragm protected the gangway. This was a perfect
but complicated system that made access to the connection
between cars difficult, so it was not taken over into the
series.
