DR electric locomotives class E 18 #24 and #31, Weimar Two historical locomotives class E 18 #24 and #31 during an exhibition in Weimar. These electric locomotives were built between 1935 and 1955 and had a maximum speed of 150 km/h (94 mph). E 18 24 was put into service 18 October 1936 and is now operated by the Thüringer Eisenbahnverein. E 18 31 was put into service 18 November 1937 and belongs to the historical stock of the DB AG. E1808 leaves München Ost with a InterRegio train from Salzburg to Munich/Karlsruhe.
The loco was used on some weekends for scheduled express trains in spring 1995
to prevent rusting. The IR trains ran at 150 km/h between München Ost and Grafing Bf
and on a few Kilometers between Rosenheim and Salzburg.

For the reason of the international stamp exhibition in Essen in the year 1992 the West Sahara State
published a stamp which shows the electric engine E 19 built in 1935.
