Historic A1 train is waiting for new passengers at Olympiastadion for direction Potsdamer Platz. It was on the rail on 27th August 2005 for the "Long Night of Museums". In Olympiastadion is the Metro museum. Historischer A1 Zug wartet auf neue Passagiere am Bahnhof Olympiastadion Richtung Potsdamer Platz. Er fuhr am 27. August 2005 anläßlich der "Langen Nacht der Museen", da in Olympiastadion auch das U-Bahn-Museum ist. This picture is for Germany/Metro/Berlin/small profile. A1 train in Potsdamer Platz on its way back to Olympiastadion in the "Long Night of Museums". You can see the door which must be closed manually. Because it was not possible to build in an automatic doorcloser this units were taken out of service in 1969 from the BVG (Berlin West). They sold them to the BVB (Berlin Ost) which used this units until 1989. So this metro-type as Berlins first type was over 90 years in use! A1 Zug am Potsdamer Platz fährt wieder Richtung Olympiastadion zurück anläßlich der "Langen Nacht der Museen". Die Türen schließen nicht automatisch und müssen vom Personal geschlossen werden. Aus diesem Grunde musterte die BVG(Westberlin) diese 1969 aus und verkaufte sie an die BVB (Ostberlin), wo diese noch bis 1989 im Betrieb blieben.
