lu-de_Igel-Wasserbillig_a1.jpg (55762 bytes)

Cross-border bridge over the Sauer river, which marks the Germany-Luxemburg border.

Pic made in Germany, looking towards Wasserbillig and Luxemburg.

Whereas this is still German territory, CFL signs (identical to those of RFF in France...) already warn against the voltage change-over (25kV 50Hz AC ---> 15kV 16 2/3Hz AC) nearby.

lu-de_Igel-Wasserbillig_b1.jpg (49559 bytes)

Cross-border bridge over the Saur river, which marks the Germany-Luxemburg border.

Pic made in Germany, looking towards Wasserbillig and Luxemburg.

The voltage change-over (15kV-16 2/3Hz AC ---> 25kV-50Hz AC) closely closely coincides with the political border, and is advertised with a set of CFL side-signs identical to those of RFF in France.

Cross-border bridge over the Saur river, which marks the Germany-Luxemburg border.

Pic made in Germany, looking towards Wasserbillig and Luxemburg.

The voltage change-over (15kV-16 2/3Hz AC ---> 25kV-50Hz AC) is well in evidence here, while CFL OHLE (identical to that for 25kV-50Hz Ac used in France) is already in sight.

There we are: CFL side-signs announcing that voltage has now switched from 15kV-16 2/3Hz AC to 25kV-50Hz AC, on the Sauer bridge, which marks the Germany-Luxemburg border...

There we are: DB side-signs warn that voltage is now at 15kV-16 2/3Hz AC, at the East end of the Sure bridge, which marks the Luxemburg-Germany border...
