Tracks of the Höllentalbahn where they join the mainline near the south entrance of Freiburg (Breisgau) Hbf. This line is double track between Freiburg-Wiehre and Freiburg Hbf. A pair of catenary masts seen in Horrem (on Cologne-Aachen) on 16 December 2001. They have double brackets, as they are part of a five-field backbone span. This backbone span is also used as electrical seperation, so the brackets have to be insulated against eachother. This might be the reason for the unusual shape of the side clip, which has to keep some distance to the other contact wire. One bracket in the background still carries a pulley that was used to pull the contact wire into place. Digital photo by Christoph Schmitz
