Turntable in Elsterwerda (damaged from an earlier tank train
accident, out of service) in June 2000. A few weeks later,
this turntable was entirely removed, the locomotive halls
will probably be demolished too.

Elsterwerda, August 2000: the turntable has entirely been removed, and
half of the locomotive shed has been torn down. Soon the depot will be

Engine shed, Sinsheim (Elsenz) Hbf Historical engine shed of Sinsheim, now used by the Eisenbahnfreunde Kraichgau. 425 118 behind. In 1987, the city of Sinsheim purchased the engine shed from the Deutsche Bundesbahn, including outdoor areas and infrastructure. The engine shed was not always at Sinsheim. Until 1947, the building was at Meckenheim station. However, the exact age of the building is not known. Photo taken Sunday 17 August 2014. Photo: Steffen Mokosch (Steffen.Mokosch@web.de) |

At the DB works at Hannover/Leinhausen, this and similar
traversers can be found. While there is a lot of grass and
the buildings in the background have been demolished, it
is still used. The very first part of its rails is set down
on the fixed rails.

The old turntable at Düren (on Cologne-Aachen) seen from near the station
building on 20 July 2002. Some years ago, the space behind the turntable was
still used by the tracks 17, 18 and 19 (from right to left), but the time when
the turntable was used to switch and turn locos must be very long ago. Note
that the platform of track 1 on the right has no longer a regular platform edge
on this side since it was rebuilt.
