The upgraded line Cologne-Düren (ABS 4) seen east of Düren in the area of the new overtaking station Merzenich on 24 July 2001. Looking east, the entrance signal of Düren and the road bridge at the beginning of the station are visible. The picture was taken from RB 11539 which waited at a red signal. On the right is the new high speed track and the northern siding. The track where the train is standing is still old, it will be rebuilt later.
