The new S-Bahn (urban trains) station at the Bonnstraße, which will be named Köln-Weiden West, seen from the south side on 13 November 2005. One week before, the new bridge visible in the picture was taken in service for the southern S-Bahn track of the upgraded line Cologne-Düren (ABS 4). Now there is enough space between the tracks to build the platform. The access will pass through under the bridge, there will be two staircases and an elevator. On the right in front of the railway line, the tram station (new terminus for tram line 1) is under construction. Platforms and catenary masts are visible, and most of the track is already laid.
