Unidentified single-engine railbus (type VT 95) of the
<a href="http://www.koeln-bonner-eisenbahn-freunde.de/">K&ouml;ln-Bonner
Eisenbahn-Freunde (KBEF)</a> waiting at Bonn Nord, seen on a special trip on 6
May 2006. This station is located on the old alignment of the Rheinuferbahn (a
private line linking Cologne and Bonn, nowadays used by the light railway line
16), which is no longer used for passenger trains between Hersel and the old
end station in Bonn. Between Hersel and here, one track is still existing. It is
used by freight trains serving an aluminium factory, but I heard that this
service is about to be cancelled.
