The metre gauge Selfkantbahn runs over a section of line between Schierwaldenrath and Gillrath near the German/Dutch border. Here Jung-built 0-4-0T Z1 threads her way behind the village of Birgden, bound for Gillrath with a “Santa Special”. 30 November 1991.

Steam loco 101 "Schwarzach" of the Selfkantbahn passes the stop Gelindchen with train 511 (Schierwaldenrath-Gillrath) on 30 September 2012. At the end of the train is steam loco 20 "Haspe".

A metre gauge train of the Selfkantbahn makes round-trips on the Open Day at the Wildenrath Test Centre of Siemens on 25 August 2002. It is running on the small test ring (2485 m long) which is equipped with two gauges. Note the third (actually the fourth) rail and the catenary with double contact wire for DC operation.
