In the eastern Harz (Germany) there's still a small 1000mm gauge railway network. Most of the trains are pulled by 2-10-2 (or german: 1'E1'h2) steam locos. Here in Eisfelder Talmühle the trains have longer stops, so the locos can get some water. This picture is taken in Winter 91/92 -- it was a rather cold day...

(If you're going there: please don't forget the east side of this rail network as most tourists do :-) )
