Narrow gauge steam locomotive 99 7245, Eisfelder Talmühle
Class 99 #7245 pauses at Eisfelder Talmühle on its way with train 8929 from the Brocken mountain to Nordhausen Nord. Built by LKM Babelsberg in 1956 and housed at Wernigerode. The engines were converted between 1977 and 1983 to primary oil-firing and are the most powerful German narrow gauge steam locomotives ever to have been built. The vehicles can carry 4.0 tonnes of coal and 8.0 m³ of water. Photo taken Wednesday 25 June 2003 around 16:45.
