EBV - Germany
The "Moorexpress" museum trains of the EVB are normally operated with this trainset: Driving trailer VB116, a freight car (for transporting bicycles) and a motor car (VT166 or 168). The passenger cars are "Schienenbusse" similar to DBAG class 796, used for many years for the regular trains on the EVB network.

EVB Railbus driving car 116 (ex-DB 998) at the vehicle exhibition in Bremervörde. It is newly painted, but luckily it got the old EVB logo again, not the new one like on the 628 DMUs.

The interior of railbus accompanying car 116 of EVB, ex-DB 998. Five railbuses in total were bought from DB by EVB for service on the track Bremerhaven-Hamburg=Neugraben. When the 628 DMUs were bought in 1993, most of the railbuses were put out of service again. VT 167 was sold to a club, VT 165 has been demolished, VT 166, 116 and 168 are still in active service. Currently there is a train running from Bremervörde to Bremerhaven sometimes to transport students to school. It usually consists of 116 and 168.

This is the EVB railbus VT 165 (ex-DB class 798, later rebuilt to 796) It is currently set aside on the former tracks of Bremervörde Süd and is apparently not supposed to be ever on service again. All the windows are missing, the interior has been destroyed, and due to the weather, all wooden parts don't look very well either. The motor is lying on the track under the car. This railbus did never have an EVB logo on the front, like 166/168/116, but it had one on each side.

Two (formerly) common vehicles of the old Bundesbahn days: A 141 to the left, still in the old "o/b" livery; these locomotives are still quite common, though they are quite aged already. To the right is a class 798 railbus owned by private railway company EVB. This is the only railbus known to me that is still in (more or less) regular service in North Germany. At DB, they have been completely replaced (except for about ten) by class 62*.
