Picture taken on October 24th 1999 on the occasion of "S-Bahntag" (S-Bahn day).
On this day, old class 471 and class 470 S-Bahn trains have been specifically deployed by S-Bahn Hamburg GmbH (Hamburg Mass Rapid Transit Co.) on the Verbindungsbahn route between Hamburg-Hauptbahnhof (main station) and Hamburg-Altona. Those trains will soon disappear completely from Hamburg's tracks as they are to be replaced by new 474 class trais already in operation.
