It was the beginning of winter storm 'Daisy' which caused heavy snowfall on the evening and the fallowing weekend. 112 708 got fresh livery and general inspection in October 2009. A funny small inspection vehicle at Mulda, on the line Freiberg - Holzhau. It is standing here together with other rolling stock of the RP Eisenbahn / Regio Infra Service, which owns and maintains the infrastructure of this line. Photo taken from a FEG RegioShuttle - sorry about the reflection. 2001-09-30.

RIS snowplough SPM 302, Nossen
Snowplough SPM 302 type 'Meiningen' (30 50 979 3 203-5, built in 1972) of Regio Infra Service Sachsen (RIS, owned by CVAG and RPE) seen after heavy work on the track of the Freiberg route of Nossen railway station. The snowplough was pushed by 112 708. It was the beginning of winter storm 'Daisy' which caused heavy snowfall on the evening and the fallowing weekend. Nossen is located on the second saxonian mainline linking Leipzig and Dresden. Long time ago it was an important hub with routes to Riesa, Freiberg-Moldova (Czech Republic) and Freital. Today the station is regulary only operated by regional trains consisting of class 642 DMUs, although there is a heritage association operating many steam locomotives for railfanning. Mulda (Sachsen) is a station on the line Freiberg (Sachsen) - Holzhau (Erzgebirge), which is now operated by the Freiberger Eisenbahn. In this station, the Regioshuttles of both directions meet, and here I also saw this combination of a locomotive (numbered V100.01) and a snowplough (type Meiningen W), both operated by "Regio Infra Service, RP Eisenbahn GmbH, Wachenheim". RP Eisenbahn owns the lines Freiberg - Holzhau and Alzey - Kirchheimbolanden (with eurobahn passenger trains), and leased the line Langenlonsheim - Morbach (with BGW freight trains). 2001-03-14.

RP (Rheinland-Pfalz?) Eisenbahn / Regio Infra Service locomotive V100.01 with snowplough Meiningen W in Mulda (Sachsen), 2001-03-14. Photo taken out of a window of the FEG Regioshuttle VT3.03 (hence the funny reflections). This seems to be the only locomotive of the RPE.

RIS snowplough SPF 01
Snowplough SPF 01 type 'Meiningen W' of the Regio Infra Service Sachsen (RIS), parked in Mulda on the line Freiberg–Holzhau. Whereas RPE has leased the saxonian lines Freiberg (Sachs)–Holzhau (since May 2000), Berthelsdorf–Brand-Erbisdorf (since May 2000) and two other lines in Rhineland-Palatinate, RIS operates the following lines: Stollberg–St. Egidien? (since February 2002), Hainichen–Niederwiesa (since October 2002), Stollberg–Chemnitz Süd (since September 2002), Nossen–Freiberg (since November 2005) and Neuoelsnitz–Lugau. Photo taken Sunday 4 October 2009.
