The signaltower of Bad Schandau is of a DR standard type (another one
of the same characteristic architecture can be found in Heidenau, for
example). You certainly get a good view of train operations from up
there. In the background you can see the bridge over the Elbe to
Rathmannsdorf (that line continues to Sebnitz - Neustadt (Sachsen) -
Neukirch (Lausitz) West).
